The Margaret Thatcher Lecture Series and the National Speakers
Program every year bring speakers of outstanding insight, talent
or achievement to the local Branches, where they interact with
members in a relaxed, personal atmosphere.
The speakers for these programs include U.S. and British scholars,
actors, artists, authors, journalists, diplomats and other noted
individuals.

Margaret
Thatcher Lecture Series - This series features a single
presentation by a prominent individual to an audience comprised
of English-Speaking Union members and others.

In addition to these programs Branches will often
engage local scholars, historians, artists, craftsmen and occasionally,
an ESU Branch member to speak to or perform for their members about
specific talents and expertise in a variety of fields, such as
art history, architecture, current affairs and musical performances.
