************* The "Hats, Scarves and Gloves" silent auction which was held on May 1, raised $644 for scholarships. A tidy sum to add to the Fund.
Ingeborg Dunlap, coordinator of food servies, deserves a round of applause and many thanks for the magic she performed at the last minute. Besides herself, she asked all the right people to bring appetizers: Mary Mohler, Gay Saunders, James Kemp-Slaughter, Ethel Kemp-Slaughter and Marina Tarlinskaya. The food on the table was picture perfect and everything tasted just wonderful.
As the guests arrived, Liz Bagshaw volunteered to collect money and make sure name badges were found for those who attended. Many thanks also to Steve Dorn and Joe Harrington who staffed the bar.
Thanks also go to those who contributed items to the fund raiser, including Sandra Boyd, Eli Kirkpatrick, Marlene Holbrook, Ethel Kemp-Slaughter, Loveday Conquest, Donna Smith, James Kemp-Slaughter, Ingeborg Dunlap, Joe Harrington, Elizabeth Miller, Christine Harrington, Jim Smith, Steve Dorn, Bill Maschmeier, Louise Beeman and others whose names I forgot to write down. And three cheers to those of you who bought hats, scarves and gloves; may you enjoy wearing your treasures. It was a lot of fun; let's do it again someday! |
