BRITSH UNIVERSITIES SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM (BUSS)
The Philadelphia branch of the English Speaking Union participates in the British Universities Summer School Program. (BUSS) Our program specifically provides for three weeks study at Oxford University, the International Globe Centre, or the Scottish Universities Summer School at the University of Edinburgh. Board member Mary Darlington is chair of this program.
The BUSS program is open to secondary school teachers of English, Drama or History who have had a minimum of five years experience and any teacher in our region is eligible. Our scholarship provides for tuition, room, and board. The committee encourages ESU members to bring the program to the attention of any school or teacher group. Deadline for applications is February 25, 2010.
The BUSS program is one of out most significant public service activities. It helps define our organization. Please let your friends know about this exceptional travel and educational opportunity.
